Prenatal Yoga is a special class for expecting moms designed to help you meet the challenges and transformations of pregnancy and birth with strength, confidence and calm. Prenatal Yoga incorporates gentle, safe movements and stretches to strengthen and open your body; breathing exercises to increase calm, focus and balance; and relaxation techniques to release deeply held tensions and to promote the well-being of you and your baby. Connect to your innate wisdom of the process of birth, and bring your awareness to the spirit of your baby as you learn safe, effective yoga poses for each trimester and breathing techniques that will prepare and relax you for a smooth labor. Pregnancy is a time for moderation, not to obtain the perfect pose and we recommend modifying movements or to rest as necessary. This class is safe for all trimesters. We recommend that you consult your physician before beginning prenatal yoga.
Pre-registration is required; no drop-ins permitted.

Partner Prenatal Yoga Workshop: with Judy O'Leary Thapa
The transition into parenthood can be a challenging time but you can discover as a couple how yoga can support your preparation for the birth of your baby. During this workshop you will have the opportunity to connect on a deeper level with each other and your baby through giving and receiving supported yoga poses which you can continue to practice at home.
Experience how breathing practices, meditation, and relaxation can reduce stress, balance emotions and calm the mind.Birth partners will learn ways to support their partner during pregnancy and labor aiding in the facilitation of the birthing process. Postnatal Yoga Workshop: Sunday, February 19th from 4:00-5:15pm with Judy O'Leary Thapa
In the excitement and intensity of caring for their babies, it is very common for new moms to often overlook their needs. Join Judy O'Leary Thapa, certified yoga teacher and yoga therapy practitioner, in a rejuvenating postnatal yoga practice specifically designed to address fatigue, weakened pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, and aching shoulders and neck. Support your own well being and your baby’s by learning ways to reduce stress, increase your energy and avoid mood swings. You will leave feeling refreshed, centered, and ready to meet the demands and joys of motherhood! No previous yoga experience is necessary. Babies are welcome.
About the instructor:
As a mother of two boys, yoga has helped Judy during the life-changing experiences of pregnancy, labor and delivery, and motherhood. It has become Judy's passion to share the beneficial practices of yoga with other women.
