New students are always welcome at Absolute Yoga. Basic Yoga is geared toward beginners and those wishing to refesh their practice. In addition, Strength & Flexibility level 1 classes are open to all levels of participants.

What should I bring? A yoga mat, towel, water, and an open mind! Yoga mats are available for rental ($2) and purchase ($25-$70).

What do I wear? Wear something that is fitted and will move with you. Yoga is practiced barefoot. As the room is heated, you may wish to dress in layers.

Can I eat before class? It is recommended that you practice yoga on an empty stomach; however, if you need to eat, have a light snack 1-2 hours before class.

Do you have to be really flexible to practice yoga? Absolutely not! Most of the poses can be modified to suit your level of flexibility, and your range of flexibility will increase with a regular yoga practice. Yoga is very versatile and can be adapted to all kinds of abilities.

What should I expect?

You should expect to challenge yourself while stretching and lengthening your muscles. Many students note improved posture and increased relaxation resulting from their first class.
